This policy describes how Townline (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and iOS app. We build software that helps trade contractors find public construction bids — we are not in the business of selling personal information, and we don't.
You give us: your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account; your trades, service area, and notification preferences when you set up the app; messages you send us.
Collected automatically: basic device and usage information (device type, app version, crash logs, pages visited) used to operate and improve the service.
We do not collect: your precise location (your service area is the town/county radius you choose), your contacts, or payment card numbers — subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we never see your card.
To match public bid postings to your trades and service area, send the alerts and digests you ask for, operate and improve the product, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We may send occasional product updates; you can unsubscribe any time.
We share information only with service providers who help us run Townline (hosting, email delivery, analytics, AI processing of bid documents), under contracts that limit their use of it; and when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Bid documents our system reads are public records published by government agencies — they are not your data.
We keep your information while your account is active. Delete your account in the app, or email us, and we'll delete your personal information within 30 days except where the law requires us to keep it.
You can access, correct, or delete your information, opt out of non-essential emails, and turn off push notifications in iOS Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g., under the CCPA for California residents) — email us to exercise them.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post the update here and note the date above. Questions or requests: [email protected].
