Re-Roof Permit

Five Star Improvements will be completing a full tear-off/replacement of the existing asphalt shingle roof as follows:Tear Off: The existing layers of roofing will be removed down to the skip sheathing. 7/16 OSB sheathing will be installed to the entire roof area.Ice and Water shield: Owens Corning Ice and water shield will be installed 6 feet up along eaveedges over heated areas. It will also be installed around vent pipes, under the existing wallflashing, in the valleys, and chimney flashing. Please note that ice and water shield is appliedto reduce the possibility of leaking into the house. It does not prevent ice from building upon the roof.Underlayment: Install Owens Corning Pro Armor underlayment to all area's that ice and watershield has not been installedExhaust Ventilation: Install 60 feet of Venture ridge vent to the peaks over the heated areasof the home.Starter Shingles: Five Star will use Owens Corning starter shingles for the first course. OwensCorningâ„¢ Starter Shingle products are the first step in the proper installation of the shingles.Flashing: Install new drip edge flashing, perma boot flashing, chimney flashing, and wall flashing.Shingles: Owens Corning Tru Definition Duration Limited Lifetime shingle the color is to bechosen by the owner.Warranty: 50 year labor and material non prorated transferable System Protection Warranty alongwith a 15 year workmanship warranty.Dumpster: A dumpster will be provided and a thorough clean up will take place at the end ofeach work day
