Residential Alteration Permit

Complete tear-off and replacement of the existing asphalt shingle roofing system. Install Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration architectural asphalt shingles with manufacturer approved starter shingles and hip and ridge shingles. Install ice and water protection at required eaves, valleys and penetrations, synthetic roofing underlayment, new color-matched aluminum drip edge, step flashing, pipe boot flashing and ridge ventilation. Existing roof sheathing will be inspected and re-nailed as required by applicable code, with deteriorated or damaged decking replaced as necessary. All work will be performed in accordance with the applicable Connecticut State Building Code and manufacturer installation requirements. No structural alterations or changes to the building footprint are proposed.
