Garage Roof Reconstruction: Front Roof ONLY. The Scope of work outlines the demolition, structural modification, reframing, and Partial roof replacement for the front & part of back of garage roof. Work includes structural repairs, framing, sheathing, waterproofing, and installation of new Progressive Vermont natural slate roof. Open existing attic floor in front of garage to expose floor joist where necessary for structural access and reinforcement. Build floor on top of existing floor with 2x6 and tie in to plate and rafters. Jack roof back to allowance Tie in with 2x6 collar ties on each rafter Install 3/4 CDX sublfoor. Install new 2x6 collar ties at rafters per code structural requirements. Reinstall attic floor after structural work is completed. Install anchor bolts/wedge bolts to fasten sill plates to masonry walls. Demo the existing T&G on front rafters Install new 3/4 CDX sheathing onto existing rafters. Install Storm-Guard high temperature ice & water membrane over roof sheathing, providing full coverage in accordance with manufacturer specifications Install New Vermont Natural Gray slate roofing tiles Install new and existing Snow retention system over 3 bay garage doors. Install new soffit box and close to match dental crown.
