Inland Wetlands Regulated Activity

Install a French drain system and perform minor regrading to direct standing water away from the house foundation and toward an approved drainage area near the stream. The purpose of this work is to improve drainage, reduce persistent pooling of water adjacent to the residence, and to help protect the foundation from moisture intrusion. In addition, we propose to restore areas of the rear yard that were disturbed during the removal of fallen tree branches, stumps and logs from the stream area. This work will include repairing ruts, leveling uneven lawn surfaces and smoothing and stabilizing the sides of the stream bank that were impacted by equipment activity used to access the area and pile the logs.
