Work described
From the filingRemoval of an attached rear three-season porch (approx. 6 foot × 12 foot wood-framed). The porch was built against the house's original exterior wall, which remains intact with siding in place—no opening of the original exterior house wall; no structural alteration to the dwelling. Scope: dismantle and remove the porch structure; seal and flash all ledger-bolt and wiring penetrations in the exterior wall; repair or replace damaged siding in kind; prep and paint the exposed elevation. At the existing rear door, to maintain ground access: a freestanding pressure-treated wood landing (approx. 3 × 3 ft, guards at 36") and stairway connecting to the existing concrete walk, within the footprint of the removed porch. The structure is self-supporting on standoff post bases and is not attached to the dwelling; wall-mounted handrail. The existing rear door remains in place; an exterior storm door will be added. Work owner-performed. All porch electrical circuits have been capped and abandoned. There is no plumbing. Debris will be recycled/disposed of at the Groton transfer station.
