Zip system is an approved alternate. Contractor must take picture and email to this office. \n4.\tRadon piping must be installed from under slab to a through-roof penetration with electrical provided in the attic space for future exhaust fan. \n5.\tGarage must be separated from the living areas with 5/8 fire code sheetrock or other approved fire separation product. \n6.\tUnderside of First floor/basement ceiling must be fire protected if using non-fire protected TJI’s, 2x8’s, 2x6’s or trusses. 2x10 FJ do not have the be fire protected.\n7.\tA minimum of one egress window must be provided in each sleeping area.\n8.\tAny window opening less than 24 inches above finished floor must have opening limiter device with automatic reset. Any window less than 18” above floor must also be tempered. \n9.\tAttic insulation requires R-60, Walls R-30, Floor R-30, a passing ResCheck score or other prescriptive system. \n10.\tMost receptacles must be tamper resistant, arc-fault protected, and in some cases GFCI rated. \n11.\tOwner or contractor must provide in writing the name of the concrete supplier and the installer.\n12.\tSmoke detectors and CO detectors installed per code. Hardwired and inter-connected.\n13.\tBlower door test is now required (3 AC/H to pass) (final report required for CO)\n14.\tDuct leak testing required (final report required for CO)\n15.\tWhole house mechanical ventilation is required (bath exhaust fan may qualify)\n16.\tDrier duct must be solid metal duct from drier connection to point of exhaust.\n
