UPDATED SCOPE: New Descriptions 1) Remodel kitchen. No change in sink location. 2) Renovate bathrooms. Expand the master bathroom by taking space from bedroom. Please refer to the attached existing and proposed 2nd floor plan. 3) Remove a closet in the first floor (non-load bearing), remove wall between the kitchen and dining room (load bearing) and add LVL beam. Please refer to the attached existing and proposed 1st floor revised plan and LVL beam calculation. Your application for a Building Permit has been reviewed for compliance with the 2022 State of Connecticut Building Code. The permit for the proposed work is approved. All work is subjected to field inspections. Comments below are to be reviewed and followed. *Provide information of existing floor joists. And how floor joists will be modified/supported for new kitchen island live and dead loads. IRC R501.2* 1.. Provide Smoke and CO Detectors per IRC for alterations and additions. IRC R314.2.2, R315.2.2 2.. When shower liners are water tight by materials from IRC P2709.2 and before tile is installed. A shower pan test will be required before membrane are concealed. This test is to follow all requirements of IRC P2503.6 3.Insulation shall comply with 1111.1 4.Separate Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical permits may need to be applied for. If work in these areas are being updated/repaired, or altered. IRC R105.1
