Special Events Street Closures

On August 23rd, 2026, Yale College will welcome to New Haven over 1,600 First-Year students moving into university housing on Yale Old Campus. The welcoming event will consist mainly of parents parking cars for unloading and dropping off the students who will be checked in by university staff. To this end, on Behalf of the Office of Student Affairs at Yale College, we request: - Closure of High Street between Elm Street and Chapel Street - Placement of no parking or meter bag on High Street between Elm Street and Chapel Street, starting Thursday the 20th of August, 2026.
