Temporary placement of containers adjacent to the project site at Japan Village, 290 Winchester Avenue, New Haven, CT, to facilitate the removal and off-site disposal of approximately 255 cubic yards of excavated soil. Excavated soil will be transported from inside the building using a skid steer, which will travel from the building onto the sidewalk within the designated and secured work area. The skid steer will transport and load the excavated soil directly into the containers staged along the sidewalk. Containers will be exchanged and removed from the site as necessary throughout the soil removal operation, with all material transported off site for disposal at an approved facility. The sidewalk work and loading area will be secured and controlled during operations, and pedestrian access will be maintained or safely redirected around the work area in accordance with City of New Haven requirements.
