Partial basement area finishing to use as second living room/playroom outside walls will be insulated with rigid from as well as fiberglass insulation. There will be a drop ceiling at 80 inches as well as a 5 x 8 bathroom toilet and sink only outside of that room just going to be framing a wall along the stairs to block them off and a wall splitting that larger room to have a separate area for gym equipment opposite the storage on the other side BUILDING OFFICIAL NOTES: GARAGE MUST BE SEPARATED FROM LIVING AREA BY 5/8" TYPE X DRYWALL. DOOR TO GARAGE MUST BE 20 MIN RATED SELF CLOSING. FURNACE/BOILER AREA MAY NEED COMBUSTION AIR--DISCUSS WITH INSPECTOR IN THE FIELD. ANY ROOMS USED FOR SLEEPING REQUIRE AN EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE WINDOW OR DOOR.
