Excavation around the exterior foundation wall, cleaning and preparation of the foundation wall surface, application of Henry 101 Non-Fibered Black Foundation Coating or approved equivalent, installation of protection board over the coated foundation wall area, installation of Owens Corning FOAMULAR NGX 150 XPS rigid insulation board, installation of a 4-inch perforated PVC SDR-35 foundation drain at footing level with clean washed 3/4-inch gravel and non-woven geotextile filter fabric, and backfill after Building Department inspection approval. Foundation drain is to discharge through the existing outlet/pipe in front of the garage/retaining wall drainage area as submitted. Final grading shall be completed to direct water away from the structure. Conditions of Approval No backfill shall occur until the Building Department inspects and approves the exposed work. The Building Department shall inspect the exposed foundation wall, waterproofing/dampproofing, protection board, insulation, drain pipe, gravel, filter fabric, pipe penetrations, and drainage discharge prior to backfill. The temporary water collection barrel/pit previously shown at the excavation area has been removed and is not approved as a permanent sump pit, drywell, or drainage structure. Drainage shall not be connected to the sanitary sewer. Drainage shall not be directed onto adjoining property, into the public right-of-way, or in a manner that creates ponding, erosion, flooding, icing, nuisance, or an unsafe condition. If the drainage discharge creates a nuisance, unsafe condition, erosion, icing, or flooding, the owner shall be responsible to correct the condition. This permit does not approve any structural foundation repair, footing alteration, plumbing alteration, sanitary sewer connection, new sump pit, drywell, or other work not specifically listed in the approved scope. All work shall be performed in accordance with the 2025 Residential Code of New York State, manufacturer installation instructions, approved permit documents, and all applicable Village requirements. Safe excavation conditions shall be maintained at all times. The Building Department shall not be required to enter an unsafe excavation. A final inspection is required upon completion of the work, including backfill, site stabilization, and final grading.
