Work described
From the filinga smooth-wall 5.5 inch stainless steel liner without insulation installed to the boiler. The flue for the boiler is deteriorating, causing spalling of the flue (flue rot). The liner will bypass the deteriorating flue, through the thimble, connecting to the 7 inch burner pipe. The 7 inch burner pipe will be removed and properly cleaned out, as well as the top cells of the boiler to remove any soot deposit/ clay chips from the deteriorating flue tile. The draft control will also be swapped from its original position to accommodate code. The bottom of the draft must be no less/ as close as possible to 18 inches from the top of the boiler to allow the unit to draft correctly and properly vent. None of the burner pipe needs to be replaced, just cleaned.
