Basement Conversion

Interior alteration to finish existing unfinished basement for residential use including rec room living area and under stair storage closet. Work includes framing soffits and non load bearing perimeter partition walls over existing continuous 2 inch rigid foam insulation. Installing IRC compliant fireblocking using 5 8 inch Type X drywall strips at 10 foot horizontal intervals and continuous top plate bridges sealed with fire rated foam. Wall board installation to follow. Mechanical room enclosed with solid door for existing direct vent two pipe sealed combustion furnace. No bedrooms or egress windows proposed. Electrical permit to be pulled separately by trade. Recreation/Exercise/Playroom areas.
