The basement floor will be sawcut 12” from the partial wall on the side of the basement to the sump pump pit 40’ to the sump pump pit. The concrete will then be broken up and removed. The existing floor drain will be removed. A trench will be excavated 12” deep and all removed debris will be hauled away. A base layer of crushed stone will be installed, followed by 4’” pvc pipe and fittings. The line will discharge into the existing sump pump basin. Access points will be placed at each 90 degree turn in the system. A spacer will be installed to create a 1/4” gap in between the wall and floor. The remaining trench will be backfilled with crushed stone and the concrete will be replaced which will not match the surrounding concrete.
