The floor around the existing floor drain, and next to the stack will be broken up and removed. The floor drain will then be excavated, removed, and capped off. A trench large enough to accommodate a code compliant plastic sump pump basin will be excavated and all removed debris will be hauled away. The basin will then be installed and bedded in crushed stone. A Zoeller 1/3hp sump pump will then be installed along with a 1.5” pvc discharge line. The discharge will be tied into the main stack with an emergency bypass out the side of the house. A dedicated circuit, wiring, and receptacle will be installed for the pump to plug into. The concrete will then be replaced which will not match the surrounding concrete. A manual gate valve will also be installed on the laundry discharge line. The sewer line will be excavated in the front of the basement just before it exits towards the front yard. A section of pipe will be removed, and a 4” backwater valve, manual gate valve, and section of pvc sewer line will be installed. The repair will be bedded crushed stone and the concrete will be replaced.
