Residential - Accessory Structure

Removing concrete steps at front entry and adding 6'x18' covered attached wood framed deck. There will be a 5' set of stairs in line with the existing door leading down to the yard towards the street. Deck will be approximately 20" above grade and will have 36" railings on main deck and possibly on the stairs. There will be a 4:12 pitch shed roof tying back into the homes existing roof to be covered with proper underlayment and composite shingles. (4) 12" Concrete sonotube piers will be dug to 48" deep and poured. The decks main beam will be a double 2x8 PT spanning 5' 6 1/4" between piers and the roofs beam will be a double 2x8 Fir spanning the same. The roofs beam will bear on (4) 4X4 PT posts that will bear onto the main beam of the deck directly above the piers.
