Basement Conversion

Interior basement alteration in existing single family dwelling. Install one half inch gypsum board over existing framed and insulated 2x4 perimeter walls. Construct three new closets. Closet 1 is 6 ft by 7 ft with a pair of 30 inch doors. Mechanical Closet 2 is 6 ft by 7 ft enclosing the existing gas boiler and gas water heater with a pair of 30 inch louvered vented doors. Closet 3 is 7 ft by 11 ft with one 30 inch door. Sheetrock one existing 5 ft framed wall at the stair landing. Wrap six existing steel support columns, finish only and non structural. Provide one half inch gypsum board at underside of stairs where storage occurs beneath. Basement remains unfinished non habitable space. No ceiling work and no flooring are included. Existing joists remain exposed and the existing concrete slab remains. No bedroom, bathroom, plumbing, mechanical, structural or exterior alterations are proposed. Existing windows, stairs, foundation walls, beams, sump pump and garage access door to remain. Existing electrical panel remains on an open wall adjacent to the stairs and is not enclosed with required working clearance maintained. Existing smoke and CO detectors at top of basement stairs to remain. Electrical work under separate permit by licensed electrical contractor. Work performed by SJB Home Improvement LLC.
