Installation of Comfort Bilt HP50s pellet stove. Stove will be vented outside. Stove will be using outside air. Stove will be positioned caddy corner in room and will have minimum 5 inches between stove corner and walls and minimum 2 inches between exhaust pellet pipe and wall. Duravent 3 inch diameter wall thimble will be used for pellet exhaust pipe. Duravent 2 inch diameter air intake kit will be used for outside air intake. Duravent 3 inch T-pipe with bottom cleanout will be used for pellet exhaust. All straight exhaust pipe will be Duravent 3 inch diameter. Exhaust pipe will extend minimum 12 inches horizontally out from exterior of house and will have an approved cap to prevent water from entering and will have a rodent screen. Exhaust pipe will be 21 inches away from closest window (window will be locked and not opened during pellet stove use). Exhaust vent will be 24 inches above grass, plants and any other combustible materials. Stove will be installed on a noncombustible hearth pad and will have a minimum 6 inches extending away from stove all around. High temperature silicone sealant will be used where necessary. Your application for a Building Permit has been reviewed for compliance with the 2022 State of Connecticut Building Code. The permit for the proposed work is approved.
