We're moving and want to use the pods provided by U-Haul (UPods). We wish to place them in the free (no permit required and non-metered) parking spaces on Lawrence St. in East Rock. The width of the pods is 5 ft, so they will fit into the car parking spots and will not impeded or block the street. The length of each unit is 8'. In total we would like to place 4 pods in parking spaces, for a total length of 32', broken up across parking spots as necessary. There are two spots directly in front of our house, 186 Lawrence St., that would allow us to put 2 pods back to back, and then put the remaining in the next closest parking space. If these spaces are not available when the pods arrive in early July, we propose placing them in the nearest available parking spots on Lawrence St.. In total, we expect the pods to be there for 5-7 days. Following a conversation we had at 200 Orange St., we've requested 29 days as extra spacing in case there are delays.
