Arrived and removed old return duct. Installed new boot and transition. Panned off bottom of old return and run 14 inch round back to rerun boot and seal were applicable. Drained down house cut out pex when removing the cold water female it tore off threads connection had prior corrosion and tank is ten years old. Customer came by wanted to know if we could fix the solution is a new tank. Gave him an estimate for new tank and he declined said he would get someone else. Installed new copper of 18 inches and adapt to pex for new tank to be installed code compliant. Installed shut off on hot and cold side since house back feeds through hot side and would just spill out tank since we cannot connect to tank completely. Customer is aware hot water is down at this time till he accepts our quote or has some one else do it. Al other system are up and running at this time.
